Bridging the gap to sustainability one cup at a time.
Between the hills of East Tennessee and the mountains of Guatemala, there is a bridge built on relationships, held together by a common goal of establishing a sustainable life for a village in the northwestern state of Huehuetenango. Families are torn apart by poverty. In a tiny village outside the small town of La Democracia, a long the Pan American Highway as it nears the border with Mexico, small coffee farms are producing this high-quality coffee on land purchased through wages earned in and around Knoxville. The gap toward sustainability has been the lack of a just-and-far price for the locally grown coffee. You are now a partner in bridging that gap! Through the bridge established through the ministry of El Puente, and through your enjoyment of this fine bag of custom-roasted coffee, families are being reunited and long-term economic stability is a dream come true. Enjoy every cup, knowing you've made a difference.
